Broken Halos Haven Event Recap
The Home Office team from DVTD recently got to support one of our Causes of the Month in a new and very fun way. Broken Halos Haven is a grief getaway for widows and their families, and they happen to be our Cause of the Month for April 2023. The ministry held a fundraising event to share the impact they’ve made since launching in August 2021, while also sharing their dreams and plans to expand in the near future.
The event featured Natalie Reid-Knutston performing her one-woman play “How to Live a Great Story,” which provides a heartfelt look at not only her own experience of loss and grief of losing her husband unexpectedly, but also the redemption in the wake of such grief. The event also featured country music star Corey Kent, live in concert.
Tried Out a DVTD Booth

We at DVTD got to try some new things, too. For the first time, we set up a booth featuring several of our brands. Shoppers were able to get 20% off their order, and DVTD donated 40% of the sales from the booth back to Broken Halos Haven. On top of all of that, our video crew was onsite to capture the entire event (make sure you watch the recap video below).
